A couple weeks ago we explored Leprechaun Canyon, over in the North Wash which is just south of Hanksville, and about a two hour drive from Moab. The canyon was pretty amazing, but it was very crowded and there was a group of about 20 high school kids going through it, which made it less awesome.
The hike in had nice views of the Henry mountains.
The canyon got quite narrow in places and was pretty physically demanding.
The stagnant water is lava.
Really nice wavy features.
